A desirable Series 1 Roadster fitted with the preferred 4235cc straight-six DOHC engine and four-speed all-synchromesh gearbox, it was repatriated and extensively restored by Redline Classics of Winchester, Hampshire in 2005. Finished in Carmen Red with Black leather upholstery and chrome wire wheels the `matching numbers' E-type was purchased by the vendor at the November 2005 NEC Classic Car Show. Understood to have covered circa 1,000 miles during the intervening eight years, `APO 306C' passed its last MOT test on October 24th 2012 with no advisories. Known to the International Jaguar E-type Register, this appealing Series 1 4.2 Roadster is offered for sale with V5C Registration Document (showing no previous UK keepers), assorted Redline Classics paperwork and eight MOT certificates the latest of which expires on October 27th 2013.

For sale at Camberley Marine and Sports Cars of Fleet for £125,995. Seller's description below.
www.cms-gb.com/cars.php

1965, Finished in Carmen Red with black interior. This fully matching numbers roadster underwent restoration in 2005 in which the car was converted to RHD. During the restoration the engine, gearbox and suspension were rebuilt and a new bonnet, etc was fitted. Since the restoration the car has covered just two thousand miles. The car is still in outstanding condition sitting on a very nice set of chrome wires and boasts excellent panel gaps. Also note that the car comes with its original jack and tool kit which is a very rare and quite costly addition these days.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
