There is a mention of this car in Jaguar Driver magazine November 1978. The then owner, Nigel Webb, mentioned that it had a "strange feature" of a core plug situated in the rear of the block. He enquired of the Jaguar factory about this and a reply said that their records could not confirm when this change took place.
The engine number was given as 7E2237 and the car was built late 1964. It had the registration number "WOG 1" which has also appeared on other Jaguars owned by Nigel Webb.
