Current bid $5,100 reserve not met, 11 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1965 Jaguar XKE E-type Roadster. The car is painted bright red with a black interior and a black cloth top. This is an excellent combination, which makes for a beautiful car.

The car currently has 46,180 miles on it, as pictured. This car has been owned by the same family for over 30 years. It has always been kept inside, and it shows. There is no rust or rot anywhere on the car!

The paint has a few small flaws, but still shines well. There is a small spot of paint missing between the door and the cowl, the spot is only as big as my fingertip. The chrome could use some work, there is some pitting here and there, but it doesn't take away from this excellent example.

The engine and transmission were replaced in the early 80's with a 289 and a C4 automatic transmission. This was a popular swap to do, since the 289 fit right in between the frame rails, no modifications were required, and it could be returned to stock if someone wanted to.

The dual exhaust exits the rear, just as it did from the factory. The car is equipped with knockoff minilite wheels in excellent condition. Tires have good tread, but are starting to get a bit dry.

Original wire wheels are included, but will need refurbishing. Original 6 cylinder motor is included as well. Running condition of the motor prior to removal is not known. Drivers seat has one small spot which was repaired, otherwise interior is in excellent condition. Top has a small stain on it, as pictured. The top does not have any rips or tears.

This car starts right up and idles well. The transmission shifts smoothly between gears. The brakes and lights all operate properly.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
