Auction was aborted. No bids.

Sellers comment:
One of 58 built in 1964, it is absolutely stunning in opalescent blue.

Right hand drive, 4 speed. All black interior in like new condition. Chrome work is flawless. Doors, bonnet, boot lid all fit like they should - even gaps all around.

Triple carbs ( SU's ) covered headlights.

New 6 inch wide chromed wire wheels with new Michelin tyres

Aluminium radiator and electronic ignition have been installed on this beauty.

The car underwent a mainly cosmetic restoration in 2002 to freshen it up. It was professionally re- painted at this time and all the bushings on the steering and suspension were replaced. The differential unit was also rebuilt and a stainless steel exhaust system fitted.

This car has only covered 41,973 miles in its lifetime and it drives perfectly. It is rust free, located in sunny Florida for years, it is a joy to behold.

Auction description:
Sale 18213 - Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia, 2 Jul 2010
Goodwood Festival of Speed, Chichester, Sussex
Lot No: 328
1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2-Litre Roadster
Registration no. EBY 62B
Chassis no. 1E1041
Engine no. 7E1864
Estimate: £42,000 - 50,000

The E-Type roadster offered here is one of the first batch of '4.2's constructed towards the end of 1964. An original right-hand drive model, it was exported to the USA in 1970 and re-imported in 2008. Restored at date unknown, the car is finished in opalescent blue with black leather interior, and is described as in generally excellent condition, having recently completed a 5,000-mile drive across Europe and back without any trouble. The only notified deviation from factory specification is wider wheels/tyres (originals with car). Offered with Swansea V5 and FIVA papers.
