Ebay item 9/15/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-/281798088159
Car has a buy it now price of $75,000 for 8 days, 8k miles reported, seller re-porsche
Sellers description:
1965 Jaguar XKE. This is an exceptionally straight, rust free high mountain car. This Jag was with the same owner since the mid 80s. Unfortunately, vintage sports cars weren't nearly as appreciated during this period and a Ford V8/auto box was fitted. The conversion looks reasonably well done and from what I can tell, the front sub frame was not overly mangled. The top square bar was clearanced a bit to accommodate the exhaust manifold.
With what early roadsters are commanding, this is a ideal candidate to set straight and drive, the cosmetics show very well and I honestly think it could be a driver (with the wrong motor) over weekend worth of work. I have a line on a 4.2 motor and box.
